The Swallow-tailed Kites are already on the move to their wintering grounds to South America! Follow these incredible birds on their 5,000 mile migration as they glide their way back to the other side of the equator. Swallow-tailed Kites typically head to South America in late July or early August, and they return to the United States to nest around March. See our Swallow-tailed Kite page for more information on the flying logo of The Great Florida Birding Trail.
