The November 24th bird walk at Green Cay saw nearly a dozen birders tally 40 species on a beautiful fall day. Temperatures in the 50s at the start, high 60s at the end, light breezes, lots of sunshine. We didn’t get the Northern Harrier that people have been seeing regularly, nor the Least or American Bitterns, but we all got good looks at several Sora, a few of us saw the Wilson’s Snipe flying away, and there were some other fun birds as well. Thanks to all who came out to enjoy the post-Turkey day birding!
