Birding Trip to Stormwater Treatment Area 5/6 (STA-5/6)

Through a partnership with Hendry-Glades Audubon, the South Florida Water Management District, and Audubon Everglades, we are excited to offer escorted birding trips to Stormwater Treatment Area 5/6 (STA-5/6), conveniently located at the Blumberg Road Public Access Gate. STA-5/6 is a birdwatcher’s paradise, with diverse avian species to observe and enjoy. Whether you’re a seasoned birder or a beginner, there’s something here for everyone.

Important Details:

• Registration: To participate in these birding adventures, please register through Hendry-Glades Audubon. Visit their website for registration, driving directions, and the necessary South Florida Water Management District Liability Release: Hendry-Glades Audubon Registration.
• Liability Release: All participants must print and sign the South Florida Water Management District Liability Release form. This is a mandatory requirement for the event.
• Field Trip Coordinator: If you have any questions or need assistance, please contact Margaret England, the field trip coordinator, at sta5birding@embarqmail.com or leave a message at (863) 517-0202.
• Registration Requirement: Registration is mandatory for this event. Walk-ins will not be accommodated.
• Cancellation Policy: In consideration of fellow nature enthusiasts, please cancel your ticket if you register but are unable to attend. This allows others to participate and is greatly appreciated.
