For many of us, Rick and his Wednesday bird walks brought us together, fostering long-lasting friendships. This event is a celebration of Rick, Larry Plotnick, Fred, and the remarkable birders who have touched so many of our lives. Join us for a walk along the Marsh Trail as we reflect on the impact of our friends who have passed. We invite you to a special bird walk at the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee National Wildlife Refuge in memory of Rick Schofield. This in-person event will allow you to explore the stunning wildlife refuge while honoring Rick’s passion for bird watching. Bring your binoculars and join us for a morning filled with birding and nature appreciation. All levels of birders are welcome!

Event Details:

• Location: Marsh Trail
• Meeting Point: Parking lot at the Marsh Trail
• Entry Fee: $10 per vehicle (unless you possess a park pass)
• Restrooms: Available outside the Visitors Center and inside the Visitor Center(opens at 9:00 AM)

• Registration Required: Advance registration is mandatory, and walk-ins cannot be accommodated.
• Limited Group Size: To ensure a personalized and enriching experience, the group size is kept small.
• eBird Participation: A shared eBird list will be available. Please ensure you have an eBird account, including a user ID and password, to access the list. Discover more about eBird here: eBird.

Photography Notice: We encourage photographers to capture the beauty and fun of our birding adventures. By signing the AE consent, you agree to having your photo taken and used on our social media pages. If you prefer not to have your photos shared, please inform us in advance.
