Explore the headwaters of the Loxahatchee Wild and Scenic River, a 12,957-acre site preserving nine native Florida ecosystems, including mesic flatwoods, wet flatwoods, mesic hammock, hydric hammock, wet prairie, depression marsh, slough marsh, strand swamp, and dome swamp, on a guided trail with Chuck Weber.
Accessibility: The first quarter-mile of the trail is paved and leads to a viewing platform, making it wheelchair accessible. However, beyond that point, the trail is not paved.
Distance: The trail covers a distance of 2.8 miles.
Restrooms: Restrooms are available on-site, as confirmed by Parks and Recreation.
