Bridge Cameras: All Your Questioned Answered
Do you own a Bridge Camera, or are you thinking of acquiring one?
Audubon Everglades invites its members to spend an evening with speaker Noah Buchanan, Hunt’s Camera and Video.
Noah will discuss and answer your specific questions about popular and lightweight Bridge Cameras, which more and more birders and nature lovers carry to capture great images and to document their sightings.
More about Bridge Cameras
Bridge cameras are cameras that fill the niche (“bridged the gap”) between the digital single-lens reflex cameras (DSLRs) and the point-and-shoot camera.
This type of camera boasts long zoom lenses and DSLR style handling, and offers an all-in-one alternative to buying and packing expensive and heavier multiple lens.
They offer many of the same manual control modes, they’re lighter in weight, a versatile and budget-friendly alternative to DSLRs, come in variety of price ranges, shoot quality video, and also offer the less experienced photographers a range of straight forward auto modes.
The lens is the main attraction with optics that will enable you to shoot everything from wide-angle landscapes to subjects in the distance such as birds and wildlife. For that reason, they’re often a popular choice for travel and vacations when you need to have everything at hand.
If possible, please send your questions in advance about specific cameras or specific aspects of your bridge camera so all your queries can be addressed.
So, how can you participate?
