Any chance you missed meeting Doug Tallamy when Vicki Rogerson introduced us to Doug at an Audubon Everglades special event at FAU a few years ago? His presentation was absolutely mind blowing and made us realize that we have the ability to make small changes in our yards with the introduction of native plants, resulting in a positive impact on birds. Good news, you have a second opportunity to hear Doug’s passionate and convincing story.
Here is a great way to kick off the fall season. Doug Tallamy’s http://www.bringingnaturehome.net/ perspective is the foundation for Audubon’s Plants for Bird program https://www.audubon.org/PLANTSFORBIRDS.
Doug Tallamy, author of Bringing Nature Home and Nature’s Best Hope, will present a special talk about birds and native plants. The title of his presentation is “A Guide to Restore the Little Things that Run the World.” You will learn why native plants are the key to the future!
How can I participate?
You must sign up this event ahead of time. To register for the presentation on September 22, at 6:00 p.m. ET, click here to register. Once you have registered you will receive a confirmation with the link from Zoom.
Special thanks to Venice Area Audubon for making arrangements with Mr. Tallamy and to Audubon Florida for hosting the program so that everyone could join. You can also register under EVENTS on the Audubon Florida Facebook page.
