About Florida Keys Hawk Watch: The Florida Keys Hawk Watch is a renowned bird migration monitoring program that takes place annually at Curry Hammock State Park. This program, recognized as one of the most significant hawk migration sites in the world, tracks the passage of thousands of raptors as they make their journey southward. Species like the Peregrine Falcon, Broad-winged Hawk, and Sharp-shinned Hawk are regularly spotted. The event provides an excellent chance to learn from experts, contribute to citizen science, and marvel at the sheer numbers of birds passing through.
